Cleaning the heating system
What is the problem?
The problem with today's heating and cooling systems is that there is a constant process of corrosion in the systems. The most common causes of corrosion are oxygen in the system water, incorrect pH, mixed metals and high temperatures. Corrosion leads to the formation of rust and magnetite, increasing the risk of downtime and reducing the efficiency and durability of the systems.
What is the solution?
AquaHeatClean is a technical solution with advanced technology installed together with a full flow magnetite filter. The installation means that you have a continuous cleaning of a heating system with district heating or heat pump and you get safer, more efficient and more sustainable heating systems. The products can also be installed on chilled water systems containing water, glycol or bioethanol.
How does it work?
When AquaHeatClean is fitted to a pipe system it emits a frequency that causes the minerals in the water to flock around the various metal ions present in the water and it is this activity that prevents iron and magnetite from sticking to the systems. This process also releases some carbonic acid which keeps the systems clean. Carbonic acid is a weak acid that cannot be concentrated and therefore does not affect the metals in the system.
The method is effective and environmentally friendly - no chemical additives needed!

Questions and answers
Can you save energy with AquaHeatClean?
To have an energy efficient heating system you need to have a clean heating system. Having an optimal heat transfer in an exchanger is one way to save energy! A rule of thumb is that if you lower the flow temperature by three degrees, the indoor temperature is lowered by one degree. The latter is usually said to generate about a five per cent reduction in energy consumption on an annual basis.
We have heat pumps that alarm for high pressure. What does that mean?
A heat pump that alarms for high pressure has difficulty getting rid of the heat and this increases the risk of a compressor failure. By having a continuous cleaning, it helps the heat pump to get rid of the heat. You should also remember to have the right temperature values set in the heat pump, measure the phases in the compressor regularly and ensure the flow in the heat pump by keeping an eye on the circulation pumps so that they are set correctly and that they have no scraping sounds.
How to measure the condition of a heat exchanger?
In district heating, DeltaT is measured on primary and secondary return temperatures. If the heat transfer is optimal, DeltaT is zero degrees. If DeltaT starts to approach five degrees, it is usually time to replace the heat exchanger. However, if there are no leaks or other visible faults in the exchanger, we recommend installing AquaHeatClean instead.
On heat pumps, DeltaT is measured on the hot gas and condenser temperature. If DeltaT is above 25 degrees, the heat pump has difficulty getting rid of the heat and this shortens the life of the compressor, among other things.
Here are two sketches on how to measure the condition of a heat exchanger. Please contact us if you have any questions!
What sizes of magnetite filters are available?
AquaHeatClean is always installed together with our magnetite filters. The filters we have are full flow filters and separate particle sizes down to 5 μm. These filters are available from DN50 up to DN300 and the sizes DN200, DN250 and DN300 are floor models.
How do you buy products when you have a framework agreement?
Our customers are state, municipal and private property owners and most have framework agreements. If you have a framework agreement, contact us and we will help you with the dimensioning of the installation and instruct you how to install the products. You can also buy the products directly from us if you have your own installers in your business.
What is the delivery time for AquaHeatClean?
The products are customised to order and delivery time is 4-6 weeks from order. Right now we have AquaHeatClean and some filters in stock for immediate delivery!
We want to become a retailer for the products. How do we go about it?
Contact us on 0227-13800 and we will start by booking a digital presentation of the products. When it's time for an installation, we will help you dimension the installation and provide support on how to install the products. Welcome to contact us!

Here's how it works
We start by booking an appointment for a digital presentation of the products.
Now we help the company with which you have a framework agreement to dimension the installation.
We will discuss the installation and you will receive a quote from the company you have a framework agreement with.
Now the delivery takes place and we give instructions how to install it.
After three months, you measure the results. In the meantime, we are in touch for questions!
