Cleaning heating system

Rengöring värmesystem

What is the problem?

The problem with today’s heat and coolant systems is that there is an ongoing process with the formation of dirt and deposits, so-called magnetite, in the systems. The magnetite clogs circulation pumps, valves and pipe systems and thus increases the risk of downtime. The magnetite also acts as an insulation in a heat exchanger and then reduces the heat transfer with an increased cost as a result.

What is the solution?

AquaHeatClean is a technical solution with advanced technology that is installed together with a magnetite filter. The installation means that you have a continuous cleaning of a heating system with a heat pump or district heating, and you then get safe and efficient heating systems. The components included in this technical solution can also be installed on coolant systems that contain water, glycol or bioethanol.

How does it work?

When AquaHeatClean is mounted on a pipe system, it emits a frequency that causes the minerals in the water to flock around the various metal ions present in the water and it is this activity that prevents the dirt from getting stuck in the systems. In connection with this process, a little carbonic acid is also released, which causes the magnetite to loosen in the systems. Carbonic acid is a weak acid that cannot be concentrated and therefore does not affect the metals in the system.

This method is effective and environmentally friendly - no chemical additives needed!

Questions and answers

Can I save energy with AquaHeatClean?

To have an energy-efficient heating system you need a clean heating system. Having an optimal heat transfer in an exchanger is a way to save energy! A rule of thumb is that if you lower the supply temperature by three degrees, the indoor temperature is lowered by one degree. The latter is usually said to generate approximately a five percent reduction in energy consumption on an annual basis.

We have heat pumps that alarm for high pressure. What does this mean?

A heat pump that alarms for high pressure has difficulty getting rid of the heat and this increases the risk of a compressor failure. By having a continuous cleaning, it helps the heat pump get rid of the heat. You should also think about having the temperature values set correctly in the heat pump, measure the phases in the compressor regularly and ensure the flow in the heat pump by keeping an eye on the circulation pumps so that they are set correctly and that they do not make any scraping noises.

How do you measure the condition of a heat exchanger?

For district heating DeltaT is measured on the primary and secondary return temperature. If there is an optimal heat transfer DeltaT is zero degrees. If DeltaT begins to approach five degrees it is usually time to change the heat exchanger. But if there are no leaks or other visible faults on the exchanger we recommend an installation of AquaHeatClean instead.

On heat pumps DeltaT is measured on the hot gas and condenser temperature. If the DeltaT is above 25 degrees the heat pump has difficulty getting rid of the heat and this shortens the lifespan of the compressor among other things.

Contact us and we will explain more how to measure the condition of a heat exchanger!

What sizes of magnetite filters are there?

AquaHeatClean is always installed together with our magnetite filters. The filters we have are full flow filters and separate particle sizes down to 5 μm. These filters are available from DN50 up to DN300 and the sizes DN200, DN250 and DN300 are floor models.

We have a framework agreement and are wondering how to buy in the products?

Our customers are state, municipal and private property owner and most have framework agreements. If you have a framework agreement that company can contact us and we will help with the dimensioning of the installation and we will instruct how the products should be installed. You can also buy the products directly from us if you have your own installers in your business.

What payment options are there?

In addition to customary invoicing we have a leasing option through Wasakredit. A calculation example for an installation with AquaHeatClean (L) is the investment SEK 53,000 excluding VAT. We put up a leasing agreement for 36 months and then the monthly cost will be SEK 1,694 / month with insurance and administrative fees. Then there are costs for filters and installation.

What is the delivery time for AquaHeatClean?

The products are specially manufactured to order and the delivery time is 4-6 weeks from order. Right now we have AquaHeatClean and some filters in stock for immediate delivery!
